✨ Phone Hygiene ✨
I wanted to share an experiment I created for myself recently, which made a huge difference for me and I invite you all to try this.
A while back, I realised I was spending way too much time on my phone in the evenings. My sleep was becoming a bit sketchy and I was feeling wired and tired.
I set myself a challenge which was that every evening at 8pm I turned my phone off, plugged it into a charger in the kitchen and didn’t look at it again until the next morning. I told friends and family so they’d know that it would be harder to reach me after 8 and this new habit turned out to be a total game changer.
My friend had recommended a clip on book light which when set to amber, mimics candlelight and I started reading more before bed. My sleep improved dramatically and I felt way more rested during the day.
I fell off the wagon when I launched Norrag (ironically) and I’m going back to this routine tonight. If you’re creating a new napping ritual, our Norrag rest mats pair beautifully with this challenge. They’re made for deep rest and nervous system softness.
I’m challenging you all to give this a try. Creating healthy phone boundaries feels good and notice how it changes your evenings and sleep. Let me know how this goes for you.
